Overengineered goofiness, IMHO. The wood and stain and all the cutting and screws – all just for decoration?! Why is this raised literally off the ground?? Those little legs look rather feeble on that restaurant rack… Is it just those plastic clips holding the rack up? I guess it’s raised so high so you don’t have to bend over, and if it’s sturdy, you can store stuff underneath. Once the plants take off, what’s the plant for supporting them?
Surprised that you didn’t design it so that the crates could actually be used as portable planters, since you can lift them with plants in them… looks modular, but they’re all fixed together by design. If you could swap out crate planters on the same “bed” with the irrigation and drainage gutters all remaining in place, that could be interesting. Milk crates are great re-usables.
How about just build a big box out of wood and use the crates as the platform of cubes, turned so they provide storage?
What is wrong with decoration?
I did think the table legs looked spindly.
I loved the milk crate idea, what a great
way to reuse plastic.
Thanks for the video
That’s the great article! I just pass ‘n read it, two thumbs up!
The milk crate planter bed video was so great. What creativity and thank you so much for sharing these videos. I loved the transition of the roof shown at the end of the video. Nice work.
