Current Call for Work: How Do You Harness the Sun for Good? Deadline: September 2010.
This summer the how-to homestead laboratory is hard at work perfecting an affordable, mostly recycled, easy-to use solar oven that we plan to share with you all this fall. We wanna see how you are using the sun. From making a simple greenhouse or a solar hot water heater to a solar dehydrator and beyond, show us how it is done. Videos must not exceed 5 minutes in length.
Submission procedure: Please post your submission on youtube and send us the link by September 10, 2010. If your submission is selected we may screen it as part of our How-to Homestead hoe down fall show, in our 11 in 11 tour (we are touring to all eleven districts in San Francisco in 2011), and host on our website. Decisions will be made by mid September 2010. If selected you must send us a mini-dv copy of your piece for the screening by the end of September 2010. A small honorarium is awarded to each selected filmmaker.
